Im thinking about getting an Aviator once I sell the LS just have some ?s

1. How reliable is this car, the LS hasnt been to good in that dept.
2. Im 6'5 260 and am wonderig how much room there is in the aviator. Also in the back seats with the seats back all the way.
3. 2nd row seats, does the thing in the middle come out of the car so you can have buckets seats. Are there 2 options a 2nd row bend and 2 bucket seats.
4. How is the gas mileage.
5. Would you recommend this car to others.
6. Hows the retail price I know the LS sucks in that dept.
7. Basically any info you can give me is appreciated.

Thanks.

I'll do my best.

1. Several potential nagging issues. Nothing to major. It is based on Explorer, and a standard Ford Modular 32V 4.6 (ver similar to Mercury Maurader)

2. It's bigger then most. Very good layout and use of space. Bigger inside then it looks from outside. Could be wider though, the center console is as wide as the LS's. Good head clearance. Way more room in the back seat leg room than LS when all the way back. I have both and it's way more spacious in that department.

3. Aviator came with two rear seat options. Note in both configs the seats are the same. The difference is either a smallesh middle seat, or a console resembling the front console. Option one is not a bench, but seems like when because all three seats are touching. In both options the rear seats recline (although not all that much).

4. Gas mileage is about 13-14 average (for me). Not much better better then an F150. If you're really really light on the throttle you can average 14-15. But that's no fun 'cause this thing is basically a Ford Mustang Cobra wrapped in an SUV. It's very fast for its size and class. I love the power and V8 sound. Starts to seem sluggish at higher speed do to weight.

5. I would, I certainly love mine. Despite some nagging issues. It looks really solid in powerful in the design department (inside and out).

6. Can't speak to this as I planned to keep mine until its burried with me.

7. Missing a few options I would like on a lux SUV, but also has some I've not seen. 2005 model (maybe 2004 also) can lock the AWD into 4WD (50/50 split) using Message Center, kinda cool feature. Handles very well for it's class, har rear independent suspension which not all competitors can say. Brakes from a Mustang (upgraded over Explorer), however same 5-speed tranny as explorer. Lincoln was initially going to call it a Navigator 4.6 (or so I read). Front seats seem very narrow because of very sporty seat bottom side bolsters. But my big arse broke them in. Whenever I sit in the passenger seat I am reminded of this. You can get it with heated and cooled seats which work very well.

Sorry for grammer and spelling mistakes, I'm at work with no time. Hope this helps.
