Thinking about removing letters off trunk lid

i removed mine when i tinted the tail lights. then noone knows if its a v8 or not, and half the people will call it a continental!

hmm i tried to photoshop it glossy black but i don't have a good rear shot of my car.

I bet KleenLS can do it better :D

hair drier and pry gently with fingers.. then use small amount of adhesive remover to remove residue

Funny how one group of thought, remove badges and another group buys more badges to stick on fenders.

Badges or no badges, majority of people still don't know what kind of car we are driving. At the SoCal meet we all pulled into the Cafe to have lunch and this guys comes up to me while I am still in the car and ask me if this is a new model that just came out. I am thinking I wish. Then we would have alot to look forward too.

Badges.......We don't need no stinkin badges!!

I know, I know, but I couldn't resist.

So much cleaner and pleasing without any thing on the lights and the fenders for that matter.

I was wondering is badging had any laws tied to it so cops could id you and stuff.....most cops wont be able to id you on their scanner without reading the badge on your car

That don't matter.

Regardless of the badging some cops still just call it in as a late model/early model sedan/2 door + color and any noticeable work. Some cars have ones that are hard to read also.

You could probably get away with just prying them off with fishing line and not even getting them warm at all.

Just dont scratch the lens.

jwerner, on the gen 2 the badges are on the paint.

ya+1 jeez pete do u have to point out every flaw in someones reply???? hahahahahaha

Ahhh. OK well then you should really be careful and use the fishing line.

I have a dealer sticker on my car, whats the best way to take it off w/o a razor im to scared to do that

I think I used WD40... and a plastic razorblade.. from the detail shop of a Dealership, I worked at a Chevy Dealer right before I rejoined the Army... They didn't like my LS btw. lol

I took the lettering off of my LS and it lookes too plain, so I put them back on. It could be because of the silver color.
