haha, i even e-mailed him awhile back to see if maybe he meant 4,500 or something, all i got was, NOPE ITS 45,000 WE HAD IT CHECKED BY SPECIALISTS, ITS WORTH THAT MUCH, i was like gtfo lol
 
$40,000 over blue book value!? Holy :q:q:q:q!? Maybe his wife wanted him (you know, with threats and such) to put it up for sale; and he priced it that high, knowing that nobody would buy it. It's a win win, for him (he doesn't have to sleep on the sofa, and he gets to keep his Mark VIII.) :)
 
It's not just you..It's a "high" maint, v8, rwd, air bagged luxo car which people shy away from. Same with caddys though, except the northstar is a complete pos compared to our's, or any motor for that matter. If the motor in those were solid i'd prob be driving an eldo right now.
 
I still cant get over that though. The man is asking more than the original MSRP for a 13 year old used car. Best he is gonna get for this is 6,000, BEST. It might be worth that much to him, as mine is to me, but he gets the enjoyment of owning it much longer at that price.
 
north stars are garbage, the biggest problem was the early engines head bolts were seated into the alum block, later more reliable engines have steel plugs where the bolts go. the early engines would literally rip the heads right off the block. its karma though, caddie should have never named it the north star. that emblem you see on the steering wheel of your mark is actually supposed to be a north star. "the brightest star in the sky"
 
its a spring feature which are rare, but it was only rare because the color lincoln painted it was not a color option for the mark VIII, that color was for the new 99 lincoln line up, town cars, i think its been documented that only 117 mark VIII's were painted that garbage gold. this car has been for sale for years, no joking years. they are rare, but so what, its still gross looking who the hell wants that puke gold. they only made a handful of them in the lsc version, and as rare as they are i tore one down to a bare shell years ago thats how little i gave a :q:q:q:q about how rare it was, i got pics to prove it lol.
 
The bigger idiot would be the moron who buys the car at that price.And I am sure there is just the moron out there.He is just waiting for him.
