Don't pick on the IIs.They're the different Mustang. Go to the track, and all you see are foxes on up. I like them but, I gotta be different. They were a product of the gas crunch years. The vette in the mid 70s could barely break a 16 sec pass.

Thing is they had single 1 1/2" exhaust, the stock air cleaner is like 1 1/4 thick, air pump, 20lbs of vacuum lines that didn't do anything. All you need is a boat anchor and your ready for the track.

Seriously 74s production numbers were only 2nd to 64 1/2 I believe.

Yet you never see them anywhere.

they have all been recyled into other cars. there are still a few around here 1 or 2 in the Mustang car club I'm in.

HEHE, I know a guy that put an 03' cobra motor and trans in his mustang II. I think it runs......................um well i dont know what it runs but its very very fast.

They actually aged very well... they don't look nearly as ridiculous as they did even 15 years ago.

In fact, NOW they look sort of cool.

Not cool enough to buy, but cool enough to respect.

Once you have one you love it. Its the closest the Mustang has ever come to a two seater. Its one of those cars that was stupid looking from the factory, stupid stripes, poor offset wheels, lame stance. Most people comment on a nice one by saying "I never saw one like this" or "what year is this" not making the connection at first.
