Hey guys.
Well i just got the car out of the shop for dying on me in traffic (ended up being the EEC relay) and today on the way home from work the damn serp belt got tossed. i drove it approximatly 2 miles from where it tossed to the shop near my house and that sucker was HOT.
Anyways, shop had the belt in stock and installed it right away and we fired the car up and the battery light was still on.. put the tester on it.... altenator went out with the belt! (about a year old) but it should still be under warranty.
here's the kicker; it ran at the shop for about 3-4 minutes while he tested the alternator and the temp gauge was normal. so i say that i will take it home and replace the altenator and bring it back next week. on the way home (about another 1.5 miles) the temp went back up again!
do you guys think the water pump could have gone out too? or something more serious?
this last 2 weeks have NOT been my best.
