Sept. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Thurella AG, a Swiss beverage
producer, has acquired rights to sell cannabis ice-tea in
Switzerland, the daily newspaper Bund reported.
Thurella acquired the rights for the cannabis ice-tea from
Rinaldo Eckmann, who has been selling C-Tea since June 2003, the
Bern, Switzerland-based newspaper said. Over one million cans
have been sold in Switzerland and abroad over the past 12 months,
the paper added.
``We strictly abide by the food laws,'' Eckmann was quoted
as saying. The level of narcotic element in the cannabis used in
the drink is tested, and must lie between 0.2 and 1.2 percent.
C-Tea's marketing rights outside Switzerland have been sold
to an Austrian company, Bund said, without citing its name.
