Tint, Dash, and Intake

My birthday is coming up July 14 and I've asked for tinted windows for my present. The law here is no darker than 35 on the front windows. So I am going to go 35 on them, 20 on the rear and 15 on the back glass. I'm 6'3 so I have a hard enough time seeing out the windshield so I won't be getting a strip across the front. Do you guys think that will look ok or do I need to go darker or lighter on the rears and back glass? Also I am thinking about a K&N cold air intake or some kind of dash kit. Right now I have the bland carbon fiber and satin nickel interior. I think a luxury car should have some wood. I've been looking at the kit that Ken sales. Has anyone else here tried it. I don't want something that looks cheap!! I am thinking of covering the nickel stuff because it is starting to get some scuff marks and keep the carbon fiber panels. Are the wood kits more durable? Also are they permenant or can they be removed later without messing up the panels underneath them if I decide I don't like that look. Or should I say the hell with it and go for more speed and buy the K&N setup? I really can't make up my mind but it can only be one or the other for now. And in case you want to know its 03 V8 sport with the THX/NAV system.

It is a great addition! Were I not saving for chroming my Voxx wheels, I would get for my '06.
 
:I You'll have more fun driving and hearing the engine with the K&N set-up, you won't even notice the interior (at least for a little while.)
Have you seen the interiors with the wood? I'd like to see a pic of the carbon fiber/silver interior you have.
 
I think that tint would be ok. Normally I would say do a 5% on the back but if you are going with 35% up front too much of a difference can llok funny.
 
I live in VA. Here laws are 50 on front 35 on back. I think you will be fine. I have 50/35 and it looks good. I personally wish i had gone darker as I know i would not have gotten caught now that I can actually see the tint. Yours should be fine like it is. Again i wish mine was darker but it still looks damn good!!!
 
mine is anything on back and none of front and i have yet to get pulled over for mine....20% windows 15% back windshield

No I haven't seen any interiors with wood except the sample at lskoncepts. Go to my garage, I just uploaded some pics of my car and you can see how bland my interior is.
 
I've got the new pics of the LS with the windows tinted up in my gallery. 35 in front, 20 on rears and 15 on the back.
 
The law is the same in Ohio but i have 20% all around. I havent got pulled over for it yet. Even when i did get pulled over they didnt say anything. I guess its where you live though. some cops are different.

It might be. I thought i read somewhere that its no darker than 50% but i wanted 20%. I first had 35% but i changed my mine the day they put it on. I left my car their overnight so i had to get there extra early to tell them to switch it to 20%. I also saw somebodys car that had 35% on the sides and 20% on the back. The 20% was so much better. I just didnt want to spend $160 on something i didnt like.
 
If you was a real rebel, I doubt you would be worried about tint laws, lol

Me too. However, It can be hard to see at night somtimes. You have to getused to it. I have yet to be pulled over becuase of it. Knock on wood!:)
 
i would say intake or dash. but i'm not a tint guy i like the clear glasshouse look. but i bought the dash kit from ken. at first i didnt like it i thought it didnt look right. but after it set it looks like it came like that. i love it but i dont think it was worth the price for faux wood. but i have never done wood grain dashes before either. but i seen my uncles woodgrain kit and his was made of real wood and his looked alot better but for a steaper price.
 
ive got 15% all the way around,(minus windshield) i want to get it to 10, my friend with the M3 has 7.5, and my national guard friend has 10 on his 240. which by the way is quicker than the M3. hes got an SR20 swap, some turbo motor from japan. nismo doesnt even sell parts for it in the US. hey rebel, i took a look at your picture gallery and to be honest with you, you need more pics of the stang man. 69-70 are my favorites. boss 302 more specifically.
