hey all, I am tinting side markers for 15 bucks (its costs more then that just to get the supplies). Just let me know how dark you want to go and I will tint and clear coat them for you. PM me if you are interested.

thanks

LLOYD

do u tint in color by any chance? I have a green LS and I was just thinking of purchasing the clear side markers. The stock one I had fell off the highway cause it was loose. lol.

Cops will RARELY pull you ever JUST FOR TINT. They will usually through that ticket on a list of others OR give it to you if they can't stick you with anything else. 90% of the time they will give you a fix-it ticket that gives you like 10-14 days to get it fixed. You will almost never get a ticket for tinted tails or side markers although they may very well pull you over for it. (I don't know why...the light shines through just the same). If you do, that is really, really sad.

you dont have to legally have sidemarkers so you can always unhook the bulb and you will be fine.

to color tint it will cost more. PM me if you are interested.

thanks

Is this true in all states, though?? I thought some states had different laws about this.

Look at a car from the 60s they dont have sidemarkers and you can drive them. here is a lincoln that doesnt have them.

Look up your local law to be sure but if you are interested please let me know

Yeah, but that's from the 1960s. Present day cars must meet present day safety requirements.

This whole tinting thing has me worried. I wouldn't do any of it. Look at all the tickets people are getting for tinted windows. I'm tellin' ya, tinted sidemarkers are next!

Each state has a legal window tint limit if you surpass it you'll get ticketed for it here in SC the limits 30% and the shop puts a little stick on each window with the address of the shop and it states your tint is legal limit so you can't get ticketed for it

here is a 2003 Chevy truck that doesnt have sidemarkers. part of the headlight is on the side of the car but that holds true fot the LS as well.
here is a 2002 Ford escort no side markers.

here is a dodge charger again same thing

I would definetly check your state laws but as you can see many cars dont come with them

Dude, your dumb. All those cars have corners reflectors...all of them. Most newer cars have them incorporated into the headlight assembly, some like '00-'02 LS's have them in bumper. All cars have to have a corner reflector which has nothing to due with the lighting of the vehicle. By tinting your taking away that "reflective" purpose. Lets say your car is parked on a dark street, when an approaching cars headlight hits your car it will reflect. Thats a requirement and any mod. will take it out of spec. and thus be subject to a citation. Now, how many cops know that actual law...who knows. But if you have an accident at night and its discovered that the car was altered its your ass on that one. Now lets say i buy your "tinting" and later get my butt sued after an accident, guess what... lloydrage now becomes responsible too. I'd rethink it. Its a million in one chance, but is it worth it.

Yeah, I know. BTW, is your period key not working?
:D

Fla02LS, your crazy if you think I am responsible for laws you might be breaking by tinting your sidemarkers. As I said check your local laws. If you dont think its worth it stay orange or buy clear. Either way I aint putting my ass in a sling because you decided that you want to tint your side markers.

yes but in the same aspect lskoncepts.com has stuff that might be illegal in a specific state and it says not responsible. I said the same thing. What the heck is the difference? either way you arent interested so I guess that is that.

With only spending $3 and 5 minutes of pacience and a cutting knife!!

Enjoy!!!
