It should. The recommended rim range for 245/50 16 is 7-8.5".

From another thread on tire size...^...

I picked up a pair of 225/50r16's that i wanna put on my rears, they will fit im assuming, but is there any worry of them slipping off? especially if driven HARD.

Why would they slip off?

They're the same width, but the sidewall is less than the stockers that came on there. Those tires will make your speedo read higher, too

kick some butt! my first pair of performance tires! (counting down the days untill i need new ones again)

Since your 225/50/16 tires are slightly shorter than means your gearing will be effectively lower as well. So instead of 3.08's you will have 3.11's or something close to that. You should have got 245's though, they fit perfect.

While 245's will fit a 7 inch rim, your car will handle funny and the tires wear funny, mine did. this time I went with 225/50/17's much better for a 7 inch rim.
