Tire Recommendation

I need some help..I currently have 255/45/17 BF Goodrich Gforce KDWS....I am thinking of going with the Kumho Ecsta STX 255/50/17s...any comments or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

for 17s i would go with toyo or nitto before kumho

The 255/50/17 will be way too tall and I think they will look kind of nasty. You should go with 255/45/17s.

i have the same tire and am very happy with them over the stock 235/50/17's. why are you changing them?

I am replacing them because I believe I had a bad alignment...went to discount tire for my free rotation and the outside of the tire and was fine but, when he showed me the inner wall of the tires they had worn very bad almost down to the steel....had like 39k miles on them.....not too safe to drive right now...I am hoping the alignment was off and nothing more serious....I was kinda slack on getting my alignments when i should..
