Got new wheels and tires... Didn't have any issues until about a month ago.
Was cruising down the Garden State when I hit a dip in the road on got some tire scrape... Tire size is 255/50/17 which actually has only 3/10's of an inch less sidewall than stock... Does extend slightly past well in rear, but I've seen folks with 275's on the back so that shouldn't be a prob.
Thought it was the shocks........
Went to Brooklyn to visit Eric, we put on a new set of Sensa-Tracks...
Definitely smoothed the ride but hit a couple stiff dips on the Belt Pkwy
and got scrape... Was kinda pissed but now concerned.
Air springs look like they are in great shape (Car is garage kept - Year round)
Pump up when started and all... HOWEVER, do not get as much air as front.
When I start it up, the front pumps first, getting ~ 10-12 seconds of air.
The rear then kicks in, BUT only gets ~ 6-7 seconds of pump.
Is it possible that the rear is just not getting enough air...? I don't think anything has changed in terms of the sensor settings... Haven't had time to check to see if the sensor is at its lowest point, which I believe in turn makes the Air Spring pump to its fullest.
Is it possible the system is lacking air???? Can I just pump some more in there? Whatcha think??????????????
