Hey Geno

What's the best tire size to run with those 17 inch rims that I just bought ?

Stealing thread. Will 215/50/16 fit on factory rims? I found a guy selling them cheap.

It will probably mount up OK, but the outside diameter is 2 1/4 inches shorter than the OEM 225/60/16. The shorter tire will act like a rear end gear change which is generally good. But the downside is that it will cause your tranny to shifter sooner (at a lower RPM) unless you change the gear on the Output Shaft Speed (OSS) sensor. You'd probably need to go up one tooth.

Well, maybe rather than going through all that I'll just look for some that are stock size. Considering I have no idea what an OSS is, how to change it or even where it's located. Thanks for the info, you probably just saved me some money that I can put towards the regular size.
