tire size question

are 16' tires aable to fit on a 17 inch rim? i've heard of them being able to go a size bigger, i found a set of 17x9 wheels and want to know if my stock 16in wheels off my 02 will fit

Actually, there is this crazy, not well known method of applying some
Preperation H around the lip of the rim, waiting 1/2 hr and then forcing
the tire bead on with a 12 ton shop press.

Makes for a nice tight fit and should stop the itching aswell.

~ read about it in a Maxim Mag once, some time ago.

You can't fit a 16" wheel on a 17" wheel. You also can't fit a 16" tire on a 17" wheel. Just like you can't fix stupid.

You can fit a 17" tire on a 16" wheel, though. Might not seal up, but it'll fit.

This is only 12', you may have to do a bit of modding to the suspension

Last time, he asked if a 16" (16 inch) tire would fit on a 17" rim. This time, he asked if a 16' (16 foot) tire would fit on a 17" rim.

Anyway, clearly the answer that he wants is "yes." He may keep asking the same question till he gets that answer. Next time, just say yes and get this over with.

Well.... you already asked the question in another thread. In that thread someone even gave your the resource to read so you could completely understand how the whole tire size system works, which isn't that complicated. And... well that's all I'm going to say.
