At 1 AM this morning my wife woke me up to tell me that she thought her water had broke. By 2 we were at the hospital, they waited several hours and gave her an epidural. Things slowed down for awhile and at around 11 they started to pic up again.

My beautiful baby girl was born at 12:14 PM! She weighed in at 6lbs. 14 ounces and is 19.8 inches long.

My wife was a trooper and got her out in no time flat once they told her she could start pushing. Words can't really even describe how amazing it was to experience. My whole outlook on life is completely different now. She is now the single most important in my life and there is nothing that I wouldn't do for her.

I don't know what to say, it's just plain amazing.

congrats! I just experienced the same thing 3 months ago and yes it is a life changing experience. Everytime I see my daughter she just gives me a big smile and that makes everything worth it! congrats again!:)

congrats man, i felt the same way 8 years ago when my daughter was born, i was there the whole process, my wife had serious complications after my daughter was out, and i stayed by her side in the e.r while they had to remove her torn placenta from inside, she doesnt remember any of it, but i was scared :q:q:q:qless watching it. now my daughter is on the couch with strep throat and it kills me to see her in pain. 5 years later i got another great gift a boy too! i wanted one of each and we got them, he is 3 now and they are both such riots!! when i am in a horrible mood i just hang out with the 2 of them and they make me forget about all the crap life throws at me! enjoy it man its great!

Congratulations. I have 2 kids of my own (3 years, and 2 months). I agree. It completely changes you. You live for her now.

Now you are going to walk around for the rest of your life with your heart outside your body. - best desciption I've heard of what it feels like to be a father.

Mine are 29 and 22 and I remember them being born like it was last week. In some ways, it just gets better!

Rich, the 97 will probably go sometime within the next few years, but I still have the 96, even though, I've considered selling it as well because I'm almost tired of looking at it. It doesn't need much to be driveable again but I just don't know when I'll find the time to finish it or where I'll find the money for paint.

As for Abby, she's doing pretty good, we're hoping that we can go home today but we might have to stay one extra day. She's a little jaundice and they want to see if they can get that more under control before they say yes or no. With being born just over 36 weeks, she's likely to have these problems they say but we just want to get her home and get comfortable.

congrats, got 3 boys myself, no better job in life

Very Cool! Congrats!!! Wish you the best of luck! I keep telling my wife if we have a girl shes grounded from the get go! There's guys like me out there!

Well it's been a little over a month and while having a child is expensive, I don't know that I'd change it for the world. I find it's harder now to get anything done, I don't have the spare time that I used to have. There is no such thing as extra money anymore, we can always find something we need to spend it on.

congrads man both of my girls are amazing and there less than a year apart just be prepared for the good and the bad and always keep 1 foot head of any thing ....good luck and congrads
