What are some opinions on some perf torque converters? how much? what size stall? Do you like it in the street, durin traffic? Also i see diff size ones for the 4r70w what size do i need for my 97?

3,000- 3,500 is the ideal stall in the Mark VIII. A 9.5 inch 3,200 stall from Egde, Precision, Art Carr, or DirtyD0g on TCCoA are your best bets. Avoid sh!t like B&M, TransGo, or some no-name eBay buy...

i got a 2400 in mine, and im lovin the KRAP outa it! its awesome in traffic, i dont even notice it at all, and it gives me the performance iv been missin, though i dont know if id wanna go higher with 4.10s but i think id stick with the 2400

I have an edge 2800 "9" in the 94 but I don’t like it, I will be getting rid of it here real soon, I would go with a precision 9.5" with a 3000-3500 stall.

Personal opinion is that you don’t need a stall till you have some thing done to your motor and your rear end built up.
