I got more spam after posting my available room on craigslist. These people needa life!

My Name is Andrew Newburn, I'm from Germany specifically from Frankfurt.....I speak both English, Spain and flowing spanish and I am 36 years of the age. I am at present function with the Federal Office of the work and nature resources Germany at present on one research program and I look in the morning hopelessly for a place, in order to stay.

I am the tidy kind, the honest, responsible person, trustworthy and industrious person, while I love music much and I love domestic animals so much, the calm in the morning and the happy person of living to also. I' m 5" 7' straight. I always love, on date to go however to party rarely. I swim for fun and play sometimes tennis, i don' late nights of the maintenance I do not have night guest around. I read your ad over the area and I really want the area before my arrival would secure, and to know in such a way want, if they were you possible, thus I over for the area before my arrival too pay, therefore may I the total quantity of the area per month and the enclosed utility program and the duration to know the rent (duration to renting) Calling you cannot work for me because am hearing impaired.

All these information are very important, so that I can submit my offer at my Organization.My organization am responsible for all fees and the payment is by united condition order to pay(Via bank certified check). I need the following information to receive the payment to you.

I am Aaron Nolan and am an A/P Personnel working for multiple companies. What i do basically is forward payments(Cashier's Check) to the clients of the companies i work for. This duty is carried out in my home, through my computer and printer.This is simple, the companies send me a list of clients with mailing information attached and the amount to be issued on the check, and they also provide courier labels for mailing of each payment.Thus, all i have to do is print the check using my Versa check software on the companies' account information and fill in the various clients' information, paste each courier label on each check envelope, and drop it in the mail box for dispatch by the courier service to the various clients. The quality of the people responding too your ad is reflective of the ad you placed.
Perhaps you need to re word the ad.
I have had rental property here in Los Angeles fo near 30 years, and I have never had somone answer my ad either by email, or in person, by telling me they are straight, gay, bisexual or whatever.
Did you happen to mention in your ad that you were looking for a straight person to rent the unit?
Good thing you don't live in California, you could never place an ad specifying sexual orientation here.
Getting back to your ad, obviously I have not seen it, but by the responses you posted here, your ad should be more specific as to what the condition of the rental are.
One thing I have learned over the years is, require every applicant to submit a credit report, with a current credit score alongwith their application.
This cuts down on the chance of getting someone who later on ,can't pay the rent.
You might want to include the credit requirements in your ad.
This will weed out the less than diserables.

I think you are misunderstanding. These are not real people. These are people that try to get your information to use against you for identity fraud. Spam is spam.
 
I have been using craig'slist for years, for my rentals and never had a problem with people trying to get my personel information.
Something in the ad he placed is raising a red flag to those who would spam.

I recently posted a foosball table for sale on Craig's List and got a couple responses. Dont think my foosball table has anything to do with the homemade porn sites people responded with....

And no, there is nothing porn related or sexual in my ad. (except perhaps my name which should not be visible to users).

You can't specify gender, race, kids, pets or anything. Craigslist states in it's policy that descrimination will get you sued.

The man is owing me and he is ready to pay me with a check. I will be paying ahead my arrival for a month, which is very important and that will secure the Place for me, and as soon as I arrive others important things will be taken care of before moving in the Place. I want you to know that the first month payment will be made in full via Certified Bank Check so that will stand as commitment ahead my arrival. So i will inform him to issue out the check to you, so that the check can stand as the payment of the room. All you got to do now is to send me your full name name, contact address and phone number so that i can forward it to my client who will issue the check out to you. As soon as i get these info i requested for, i will forward them to my client immediately.

As soon as you receive the check you will deduct the first month plus deposit out from the Check, and you will now help me forward the remaining balance to my traveling manager so that i can use it to book for my flight back to the states, when i get to the states i will pay the rest. I just want to make sure i get the room before i get back to the state. I will like stay there for a year even more that till when i will have my own personal place but I will prefer month to month lease
