Tow hitch door 2001 LS HELP!

I have a 2001 LS. There is a small door in the small grill in the front bumper cover, next to the fog light. I was staying at a motel in St. Louis one night and this little door disappeared. After searching for a replacement for the last two years I am sure it was stolen. Ford no longer sells this part. You can only buy an entire bumper cover with no door in it. I have been unable to find a replacement anywhere and it looks bad without it. Anyone have any ideas where to get one? By the way, not all 2001s had this door. HELP!

I don't know if the size matches (probably doesn't), but you can easily buy those covers for BMW E46s. I assume you've tried all your local junkyards?

no the bmw part would not fit, since that part is actually part of the grille, and their front bumpers are nothing like ours.



it does seem like every time somebody is on here looking for one, then never find it... you could always swap to a bumper that doesn't have the removable section

I was just hoping that I wouldn't have to go to the expense of replacing the whole bumper cover.
