what r the pro's and cons of the "traction control" ??? why would 1 want to turn it off and what does it do ?

Its helps keep the car from a spin out. 93-96 used the rear brakes to stop wheel spin, only till 30mph, 97-98 used brakes and detuned the motor to stop wheel spin, all speeds. You would turn it off to spin the tires.

Ive found it is damn near impossible to lose control in the snow, even if you want to if the TC is on. If its off, on the other hand, it doesnt take much.

I guess its basically the ABS activating but only in the rear.
