Trade LS for a 95 Vette?

As you all know according to my name, I love f bodies. And aware this isn't one...but better! Was just offered a 95 auto targa top Vette for my LS. It needs work but runs drives fine.Hes one of those backwoods Vette owners though that tryed to make it his Vette by repainting it and other stuff ,but just made it look worse. not a chance, maybe if it looked decent or was a little newer, but that is awful and I like vettes don't get me wrong but that thing is a piece
 
A c6 vette is out of the question. BB is just to high. and I have to agree. The way it looked before was much better. I have bought a lot worse before and have brought them back to almost better than showroom condition. Im a detailer by trade and have wrenched on lt1 for 15 years or so. But yea ill have to go with my first gut feeling. He has offerd cash and a system to boot but just not enough.(I only have 1500 in the LS :) shhhh)
 
No. No. And no. Unless your LS looks equally as jacked up. LOL.
 
Lol not jacked at all! the way the tranny shifts scared me at first on the LS but drove two more. And its just normal. The only other problem is weak coil. It missfires now and again.
 
yeah with the condition and the fact that those vettes really have no value it just makes me not what it. There is a 1999 or so by my house that needs some chassis work and a new front quarter maybe you can buy that (it was wrecked)
 
Interior on yours looks good.

Like many, I grew up around Vette's. This is my father's 95. He bought it new(the Greenwood wing was an add on). Currently has 42,000 miles and yes it is a garage queen. I just noticed that you can see the corner of my car in the pic. LOL. His has the red on red interior.

I guess what I am trying to say is kinda what 2002 just said. There are much cleaner examples of Vette's out there if that is what direction you are heading. Also, be aware that the C5's are a biyaach to work on and have some pricey common issues if you buy one that has not had them addressed already.

Yea they hold pretty good value here. LS doesn't. C5s go for 6000 plus i can pick up LS all day long here for 4. But yea his is trashed! And thanks! Mine is cleaner than any of my friend's Ls's. Not a ford fan so wont have my LS long.
 
...I was never a Ford fan and was never too keen on most of the models of Mustangs throughout the years - I've owned 2 Camaros (still own 1) grew up around Chevelles/Corvettes/Camaros and lots of GM cars (Cadillacs/Chevy trucks and SUVS/GMC Trucks/etc.) so I would def say I'm a Chevy/GM fan.

However, when I needed a "new" car as I didn't feel like driving my modded Camaro 60+ miles on the highway every day, I immediately fell in love with the LS. I looked at Cadillacs but something just kept me going back to the LS. If you ask me, my LS has quickly become my favorite car to own. Sure I've had problems with it, but I have had plenty of problems with GM cars too. I love the styling - it's aggressive enough but also comfortable and with a few mods it can look even better. I love Corvettes (almost bought 1 but went with a Camaro instead) and have driven many but that one is beat and I don't know everything about that car or your car, but give the LS some time - it may grow on you...
 
Im the type guy I love to feel what my car is doing. One of my old fbodys...a 97 ws6..had heads cam no cats six speed solid mounts and bushings ,every tubular suspension part imaginable and looooved it as a daily. All my friends couldn't stand riding with me cause it was pretty much a street able drag car. W love to own a car that can do wheelie stands at every stoplight. I guess its just what u like and what you don't. I love real horsepower and torque. I took the LS on trade cause i know what i can get out of it. and hope i just find the right Vette. I will not own a stang and will always stay Chevy. No offense to ford, but have had alot and was just never a fan. My last ford was a 92 SHO I did like it...but like the ls...technically its not a Ford. Ill pass on this Vette but will find the right one.
 
I wouldn't trade it for a Vette unless it's a C5 or C6. The C4s are pretty ugly and I'd rather have an LS1 over an LT1. Plus, that C4 looks beat to hell.
 
Ill take a LT1 over LS1 any day. I have had a lot of both and just don't like the way a ls1 feels. Lt1 FEELS like a muscle car. LS1 is too smooth for me and 05 LS8 please do! Daytime Picks preferred! And anything newer than 92 around here in a Vette goes for 6000 plus.
 
fbodies for life! but seems like a bad deal...if you like those platforms as much as i do, wait till there is something worth your ls. my $.02

^and that vette isnt any normal vette on the market. That would be a better trade for an LS than the opening car.
 
ehh those C4's are so bland. I'd feel like I was in the 80's every time I went for a drive
 
if its going to be your DD then i'd say no..... BUT, if its just a toy, then go for it. It does look beat to hell. but tough to say over the interweb.... I'd trade my other LS for it.
