I was going take my Mark VII on our trip this weekend but, due to an acting up Tranny I didn't.
Here's the question - Tranny has been running good since I picked up the Mark VII June 28th.
The Mark had been sitting for 6 to 12 months.
Guy claimed the tranny had been flushed and filters changed. (Amsoil was used or is the Tranny oil that was used last time it was changed).
On Thursday I drove the Mark, it drove fine all day. On my final drive for the day after sitting for a bit 1 to 2 hours (these were short drives of 1 to 3 miles, Boscobel is small) it didn't want to shift. It would shift into first but then it would rev and not shift into 2nd or take longer than normal getting into 2nd then into 3rd. (Now this may be 2nd to 3rd not 1st to 2nd where this is happening).
I took it out on the Hwy to test it a little more and drove for about 5 miles. I would go into 3rd but it took a lot longer than usual. :Bang
I then drove it home and parked it as I didn't want to cause any damage.
Any Ideas? I was thinking that maybe due to it sitting so long that it has some gunk in the tranny and it was clogging the filter. Hoping for something simple :waving:
