I have an extra No2 setup and I was thinking about hooking it up to the Ls. (just for those trips when I am heading home and the Camaro/mustangs are besides me :)

Anyway, will the trannys hold up with a maybe 125 shot (nothing taking off on the spray, just 40 mph and up?) Spraying very occasionally, not a weekly event.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, I am not looking at messing up the Ls, it is a daily driver, I have the L and the Cobra to screw up and tinker on, not the LS, so please keep this in mind.

If you dont want to mess it up then dont spray it. Nitrous isn't going to make the engine or tranny last any longer.

many of us have/are running N2O. The car is very hard to launch without a progressive controller, and unless you upgrade the diff (open 8") you'll want to stay with what you said about spraying only 40mph+.

The car runs fat on WOT so it takes to N2O. the issue with only occasional use of N2O - if you change your plugs to colder, and tune it for N2O you may find that it's not as happy off N2O.

Don't kid yourself about not using it more frequently than what you stated. If you have it, you'll use it :D At least, that's what I would do lol.

I haven't touched spray yet. I have my eye out for a spare motor as we speak, as mine is approaching 150,000.

Also, I would think that a 125 shot on our V8's are about as high as you'd want to go without really raising the probability of severe engine problems. Isn't there a sort of guideline about 50% or something?

What tuners are out there that is good for tunes with Nitrous?

Makes me no difference if it is a programable from a Laptop or a fixed tune from a performance shop.

Just me, but I havent had good luck with the out of the box programmers, that is why I am asking.

Thanks
Marco

I wouldnt spray it very much at all. I have a lightning that is sprayed and cobra that is stroked and blown. I dont have really anything to prove in the LS. Just want it different from others till I can save enough up to pay for an SRT Charger or the Caddy ctsv. I cant be caught off guard!

I've run as much as a 150 shot. Not out of the hole---I trip the master switch when I've had the 2-3 shift. Since I now run methanol in my spray system, I have a combination that's easier on the engine. I have an SCT tune but it's quite mild. You might check "Land Speed LS" here in the HP section for more info!

I run a 150shot..... and non progressive, a 100 shot was hard to plant even with my locked rear end.

Heres the think. Your fuel pump wont support bigger than 100 shot. 100shot makes these cars run low 13's maybe even brake a 12. If you upgrade your fuel pump, you can run 125 shot no issues. If you want to run 150 at the track, your likely to break something. If your running like CammerFE and not trying to slam the drive train from a dead stop to 150mph, you can safely push the limmits further. I was looking at using meth to bring in more power, but have since changed to a different idea.
