Trans having a hard time upshifting???

So, I have a 91 Mark VII with only 75k miles. The problem with the car is that it hasn't been driven in 4 yrs. The car is still like new. So I take it out for a few days and drive it, NO problem. All of a sudden out of no where, it has a hard time shifting into 3rd and 4th. If i punch it from the start, it jumps and go and shifts and at about 40mph, it revs up and it wont shift unless i slowly tap the gas pedal and slightly give it gas, it then shifts. However, say im doing about 40mph and I punch it, it wont down shift, it will just rev up. PLEASE HELP!!

trust me, im not. What is the TV bushings and is that the problem for sure?

I cannot see your car, so no I cannot give you a definitive answer. I can tell you that it is very very likely to be your problem. Unfortunately you will have to do a little looking for yourself.
