transmission help

OK I just posted earlier however my post seemed to be deleted or is missing.

My o/d is shot, its taking forever to shift into and just today started slipping gears when you are in it. My question is for a lil while I will have to drive with o/d off, but at around 70 my rpm's are around 4-4,500... is this gonna hurt my car driving?

well from what i understand you will only be hurting your pocket when it comes to gas but other than that unlees ther is anything else wrong with he car i thing you would be safe for a little while and that is assuming that the rest of the car is in good shape
