Transmission question

i have a 2000 ls v8 with a screwy transmission and i found a 2002 v6 auto ls that has a blown motor i can get the whole car for dirt cheap and the transmission in the v6 was perfect with only 80k on it can i just swap these two transmissions out without mods?

Not exactly, unless you intend to swap the guts from one case to the other. I don't think the V6 transmission will bolt to the V8 engine.
