driving home from VA (to NJ) on saturday started noticing a loud clack from the engine when I got into the Baltimore area. Pulled over and figured out when I pulled the wire off of cyl 4 the noise stopped. I figured from the sound I had a bad lower end bearing. I decide to just drive it home and deal with it then, if I made it without completely blowing the engine and getting stuck. I made it home but the engine was making some pretty loud and scary noises....

oh man,

So I neglected to say this was in my beater dodge not the LS! I thought I would have a little fun having everyone yelling at me that I shouldn't have driven the LS across 3 states with a bad bearing...

but no one really complained.

in any case the LS is fine and the dodge is probably going to the junk yard. If this ever happened to the LS I wouldn't have driven it any where even if I was 3 states away from home.

wondered how you pulled the wire on #4 on the side of the road on a LS???
