Not many were made with diesels.

I was just going to ask why that was an oxymoron until I seen the V infront of the 6! Its an inline 6 or V6, can't be both. I'd actually like to know why there were BMW engines in these cars? I think the Land Rovers had/have BMW engines as well. Oldschool may know why.
 
The VIN # on that vehicle comes up as no good in my Ford parts catalog. Most Lincons begin with 1LM. They where jumping on the diesel band wagon back then in the MK7 and Conti. SO why dump millions into engine R&D when they can jut pay BMW for the engine. Too bad the engines where a POS.
 
It was a very unreliable engine, this is why it was in the Mark VII only one year.
 
85 i think oldsmoble put a desil in the cutlass....
