I still have to put the wheels on. The tips that I wanted were the dual staggered tips for the GTO made by Bosal but they wouldn't fit the were about a inch to wide so I went with these 3.5 inch ones.

SO WHAT DO YOU THINK??
I THINK IT TURNED OUT GREAT.

looks nice. i think ive seen this before and always wondered about it; i notice you have the chrome trim on the rear bumper but not the front. did some ls's come like that?

Looks great to me. Maybe paint the rear surround or osmething. Kind of seems like a lot of chrome back there. Nonetheless, it looks good.

I wil see aout he chrome once I put my wheels on.

No LSE front bumpers have the chrome trim.

Yes I did the front end myself headlights and bumper.

Does anybody think that the front bumper doesn't match the side skirts now. Honestly if you didn't know, you would think otherwise.

Remove the chrome off the rear bumper, paint your rear license plate surround to match the car, after that the car would be real nice.

I really like it. Looks just fine with mixing the gen 2 front bumper with the gen 1 sides and rear. Nice job!

I like it alot! the only thing is the chrome on the back bumper and surround needs to go like others said, and I know you said you tried the bosal ones, but maybe find some other quad tips that will fit the Gen1 LSE rear better, the oval tips look out of place.

Question about the chrome on the back bumper and around the license plate. Can that simply be removed and have the area painted? I don't know enough about the LSE versions to know what they look like in comparison. Anyone have any direct comparison pictures?

wow looks real good. those pics remoind me how much i love that LSE front bumper. and those wheels are nice too.

I would kill the chrome on the bumper but not the surround.

Looks very nice!

that is one thing i was worried about going into this conversion process (wish i could just keep to my gen1 lse bump but they so dam rare..) but from the looks of it i agree...it doesnt look bad at all. and thanks for all the photos/info!! they have been a great help to me know what i'm getting into.

think im just gonna stick to my gen1 headlights and get the clearcorners with preinstalled angels (i believe its a memeber that sells em off ebay like that so all the better to support the community here) + my current ones like to fog up all the time on me. :(

also read in that link about the body shop offering to "glass" up the gap. I'm assuming you meaning a fiberglass fill of some sort?? wonder how that would turn out.

not a fan of the chrome bumper molding, especially since the front is painted. otherwise it looks good.

This thread is from early 2008 & people are posting like it's a recent thread...
