I'm going to start listening to the "if its not broke dont fix it" term. I suspected i had a very small air leak so i got to looking for it today wiggling wires and sprayed a little wd-40 on sum hoses and rinsed them back off with water. I couldn't find anything. So now when i start my car the rpms raise to about 2200-2300 and fall very slowly but they do go down and idle at about 800-900 and you can feel a little studder in the motor, if you give it gas it seems as if it misses at 1400-1600 rpms but anything above that its fine and again the rpms fall so slow. If you take off in it it cuts out just a little around 1500rpm and above that its fine but on take its almost as if its barely has any power then all of a sudden it does. Car has new o2s, cel light is not on, plugs are not very old maybe 2000miles maybe less, about the same on air filter and fuel filter. Any ideas? Its a 2000 v6

PVC hose.

awh :q:q:q:q, so im guessin its a bitch to get to and thats why i hear a air noise coming from under my intake manifold but yet dont see where its comin from. Any pics to help me out for what im lookin for? Its been a while since ive been out forums and i cant really remember what IIRC stands for

yeah i actually fount it funny myself, thanks for bein an ass though.

I figured out my issue i believe im waiting for my part to arrive at FORD in the morning.

Pvc replaced along with a cracked hose and no difference car still runs and idles the same.? Could it be my IAC?

Certainly could be. Sometimes you can tap on them and get them unstuck for a few seconds (to help with the diagnosis).

Cleaned both with wd-40 probly not the best thing to use and still no help

Actually, pretty close to the worst thing to use. Next time use throttle body safe cleaner.

While cleaning the EGR is not a bad idea, if you don't have a check engine light on, then it's not the EGR causing the idle problems.

Did you try tapping (with small hammer) on the IAC while the engine was running?

You can disconnect the electrical connector at the IAC and the engine should slow down considerably if the IAC is working correctly.

Lmao i didnt have any cleaner so intried what i had, ima go pick up some cleaner, but yeah i tapped on it, no change at all.. I havent tried unpluggin it yet.

So i think its gettin worse, runs great after i take off, i wish the piece of :q:q:q:q would give me a CEL

If you mess up the throttle body you can have some serious issues with the engine. Better not to use anything at all if you dont have it.

Have you checked the MAF sensor? You might want to clean the MAF sensor but only use specific MAF sensor cleaner!
