Just got my "01 v8 sport back from my mechanic coils, plugs and alternator and window regulators. Noticed a burning smell when i finally drove it thought it was the 18 wheeler that i parked by so i didnt pay it any attention. Next day after driving about half an hour started smelling something burning so took it home and noticed white smoke and coolant pouring out from under the car in the same are as the degas

So i figure time to replace that bottle and hoses for the radiator also the tstat and housing but i need to know if i need to get the radiator hoses with the oil coolers or not also any other parts to get while im at seen the parts list for the gen II but no gen I not sure if everything is the same between gens

any help will be appreciated

The sport has the oil cooler IIRC. When I did mine I got the aluminum cooling tower/thermostat housing from rockauto. I got the hoses from rockauto/ebay I believe. I had to get the plastic cross over pipe from the dealer. Good idea changing those parts at the same time. I did the water pump as well, but the original was in real good shape when I took it out. That was all around 120K.

The cooling system parts are very different between the two gens.
For gen I V8, search for the Jaguar metal cooling parts. They're about the same cost and you shouldn't have to replace them again.
Look at your lower radiator hose. In the middle is a long plastic section. If there are two hoses coming off of this plastic section, then you have the oil cooler.
