well its finally done and out of my shop for good. i posted about this car in the begining of jan. i repainted this for my buddies wife and gave it back to them on christmas day. since then, i took the car back this week and wet sanded and buffed out the orange peel on the whole car, and sold and installed a set of 18 inch wheels and tires on it. i painted this in my 840 sq foot shop. i dont have a spray booth, and i dont do body work for a career, i'm self taught and i hate it lol. i do not like this line of work, but i'll do it if i need the money and god knows i did need it. so this is the final result, the car looks like it was painted in a professional body shop, easily a 2g paint job, i only wish i made that much. i dont brag, i do things the best i can, but honestly this paint job blows me away totally, i cannot believe i painted this car this awesome. i had it out today in the sun for the first time since wet sanding and buffing it, and i got a bunch of compliments from the guys down at my shop. i'm really proud of this job, deffinetly one of the best jobs i have ever done on anything. i'm really happy and so are the owners. i told them off the bat dont expect a show room paint job, but dammit its pretty close!! check out the pics.

 That paint job looks flawless in the pictures...a real beauty..if it wasn't for that damn back window rubber it would be perfect!!
If you don't mind me asking, How much did it cost you for materials and how much time did it take you?

i dont like the wheels either. they came on a 94 i bought from the auction to part out, i showed him the wheels, he liked them, he showed me the money, which looked much nicer then the wheels, so they are his now lol. but they are alot nicer then the beat up snowflakes that were on it. materials cost roughly 5 bills and i charged him 600 to prep and paint, i did have a few dents i had to fix too. one being about the size of a baseball right next to the power antenna. i will never do this kind of work for 600 bucks again, he got a screamin deal, i got it up the rear dry. i screwed myself big time. but whatever he is a ver good customer of mine and i repair everything on both his marks so he is a repeat customer often. i have a perfect back window on my loft im trying to sell him for the car, the back window in his cranberry 93 i also recently painted is from me as well. i had my glass guy come down and put it in when i had the car in for repairs last year. if i paint anymore cars, the price is deff gonna be at least double what i did these two marks for.

Looks AWESOME!!! Even @ twice the price, that's one heck of a deal for such a beautiful paint job.

There's a lot of people out there who think you will get a good paint job for $500 bux at earl shieb or one day. They don't have a clue! That really does look like a top notch $2.5-$3K paint job! You have every reason to be very proud of your workmanship.

The wheels would not have been my 1st choice, but they do look very nice & classy. Looks like a new car.
