They're replaceable. You should find copious material by using 'search' above since ball joints are a common topic here! Look in the sticky section for the thread regarding 'read-before-posting' as it will help you look for the information.

Thanks for the training, wouldnt it have been easier just answering the question? Ive already checked read berfore posting and theyre is nothing mentioned about upper ball joints. Ive also done a search and havent found much about uppers but plenty about lowers. The only info I have found about uppers was that theyre not replaceable and you have change the whole upper arm. I was just hoping that someone would have had a little more info and perhaps where I could get upper bushings. Since you say theyre replaceable I guess your my guy....where do I get em?
Even if you find a ball joint to replaceit with, it's very likely that you will damage the upper control arm when you press it in. The lower control arem is more durable. Do your self a favor and buy the upper control arm with the ball joints already install. You will be glad you did in the end.
^^^ He's right the upper arms are best just purchased with the ball-joint a shop shouldn't charge mush to install them, you would spend more on parts than in labor.
I had both upper control arms replaced by the dealer last summer on my 2000 LS. I always feel it's best to do it right the first time. Replace the whole arm with factory stuff is the way to go.
