From a Lincoln ls V8 engine 2000-2002 not sure what model.
Is it ok to replace the brown tensioner with the metallic one?
My mechanic is worried that the metal ones are to short and if you compare them to the plastic one, they are a little shorter on one side. And the mechanic claims they wont provide enough tension on the chain.
Also the mounting bracket is smaller so the tensioner is loose if you use the original screw... Does anyone know anything about this help..?
