I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel and sometimes the car between 50 to 55 MPH. I asked my father, and he thinks that it has something to do with the power steering. I think I need the tires balanced. Its a 1998 TC with 61,143 miles on it.

Tires are #1 suspect - get a road force balance, if available in your area.

I had a nasty issue on my 90 TC always at 60 and the #$#$ morons at one tire shop said my ball joints and tie rods were trash (@ 55k ?!?!?!) and they all needed to be replaced. A shop with this road force balancer fixed it perfectly in two hours. $$ $$$$120 for the balance.
