This is a video of a new Ford plant in Brazil. One look at this and you will instantly be able to tell what is wrong with the manufacturing plants of the US car makers and why there will probably never be another one built in the US. It also shows why more will go off shore.

Joey, nearly all ford plants in the U.S. are adapting to this style assembly manufacturing. With one exception, the sub-assembly lines that they show sub-contractors building parts inside the plant are built outside the plant and delivered in a " just in time delivery" manner. Seats, carpets, door panels, and I.P.'s are just some of the components built and sequenced off site. the flexible body shop is being built in every ford plant that is not scheduled for closing. I work at Kentucky truck plant and they are near completion of our flexible body shop, it will enable us to build different platforms on the same line as the new plant in Brazil does. Don't give up on American plants yet!

Where "Made In America" doesn't necessarily mean "Made In America"?!

However Nissan, Toyota...do I need to go on...are "Made In America"!?
