Vin location on engine

Hey y’all, a bit new here. I am wondering if there’s a vin location on the engine? I have reason to believe that mine may not be original to the car, or not even from the same model. Anything helps!

No vin is printed on the engine, only the fabrication plant & date of assembly.
Identification of the engine is not so hard as it seems - they all look a little different.
