Hello,
New to the forum and hate to be looking for a new engine already. I just picked up the car on New Years Eve, drove it 250 miles to my house and then all hell broke loose. The idiot I bought it from aparently didn't realize you had to put coolant in the entire system (the resevoir bottle was green so I had no reason to doubt the rest of the system was fine). Since it was 50* when I drove it home there were no problems. But the next day when the temps dipped into the teens, the expansion of the water has completely destroyed the engine. It may just be the heads, but I'm guessing the block didn't make it either.
Does anybody have a line on a V6 engine? It is from a 2000 with manual transmission.
I would appreciate any help you can provide.
Thanks,
Ryan
