Hi all, new member here. I just acquired a 2000 Navigator, great condition, 30K miles, very well maintained, I’m liking it!.
So, I decide to get an extended warranty; but, prior to the warranty going into effect I have to take the car to the local P__ B___ shop for a once over. Fine, no problem, the car passes with flying colors as I expected.
I get back in the car to leave and the check engine light is on. Hmm, that wasn’t on before. I Go back into the shop, tell the tech who slaps himself in the forehead, runs out to the car pops the hood and plugs back in what I believe is a sensor on the air intake hose. He goes on to tell me the light will go out once the engine cycles a few times. Well…..twenty miles later the lights still on.
Should this light have gone off by now, I’m concerned about another forehead slapping dawning? I’m looking forward to your responses and future fun here on the forum.
