well its been raining here in southern cali often lately and i have been experinceing some noise in my drivers door... it sounded as if their was water in the door. Sure enough it is. I saw a little black tab at the bottom left corner of the door and i removed it and water came out last week... now with this storm we are experienceing water came in somehow but i dont see it draining from the bottom of the door...have you guys had the same problem? if so how can it be fixed and also would it be covered under the warranty? thanks

I can't imagine a warranty covering that on a 2000....but you might have one heck of an extended warranty!!

A couple of things to look at. Are the seals where the door meets the window still good? And the other thing is the drain in the bottom of the door. Make sure there is one there that's cleaned out and not plugged. If necessary, leave the plug out of the bottom of the door.

i have water going into my door.. but it drains right out.. is it usual to get water in ur driver door?

those black things are covers for the drains, water runs inside the door all the time its suppose to and drain out the bottom

the drains are probably clogged, leave the black tabs out, or bend them a little like in half then put them back in to create some room to let the water drain.

You can go one step further and take the door panal off and see if there is some junk in the bottom of the door blocking the drains.

Blow them out with compressed air.
