Could it be the waterpump is shot and mabey the reason I'm not getting any heat.I installed new T-stat but the car is running a little warmer than normal.I also notice the heaterhose is hot on 1 hose and cool on the other hose.anybody knows what this could be.THANKS

with one heater hose hot, other cold... not warm... I am gonna guess plugged heater core???

if there is some heat in the return hose, then I am gonna say you might have a problem with the blend door or something else in the heater assy. if a blend door is stuck in the cold position.. youre gonna get nothing but cold air..

if the engine isn't 'overheating' then the water pump is probably doing its job just fine... they usually fail with bad bearings/seals and start leaking out the snout.

I haven't had this problem of my Mark. But since you describe one hose hot one cold, most cars have a switch in one hose that stops hot antifreeze from circulating throu the heater core when its not wanted, like in warm weather when your control panel is set cold. The switch could be bad, or your control panel is not telling it you want the heat.

Did you fill the system properly? You need to use the plug on top of the crossover tube.

Yeah i removed the cap onthe crossover tube but a little hard to break open.I also burp the system

air in the system will do exactly what you discribed
