I’ve been lurking here a long time.... So starting in November....2005 LS V6....battery dead.....lights cutting on/off at night....dccv malfunction codes 2799/1242/1265 ....locks cycling with “door ajar” cycling.
I had a spare dccv and replaced....no more valid malf codes. After 2nd trip to vendor, they replaced batt at 1 year (was holding 11.5v at 45% charge).....prior batt had 10 years on it....so now all I have is a constant “door ajar” light...
So looking at “door ajar”....my LS goes to sleep with doors open (or closed) but does not wake up when any open door is closed...mine wakes up from sleep when you close the open door then reopen it....(trunk/hood don’t affect it at all).....I think I might have found the problem as the front passenger door doesn’t cause a wake up when opening or closing and cycles from locked to open when you attempt to use its electric lock button....I’m debating opening door panel now or waiting till I get a forscan lite tool to confirm...Thanks for all of your knowledge (joegr, AmsterDutch, etc...in the past discussions)....Your thoughts...?
