Someone came into work today with one of them bouncin cars, and i got to thinkin...if someone hooked up them jumpers to just the front of the car and linked it to go off when you leave the tree, that would be a killer way to get the car to squat, and make the front jump real nasty.

Isn't it difficult enough to time the tree just right, now you want to cordinate the explosive inflation of the air supsenion too?

I think you'd want to air 'em up ahead of time, vent your rears a bit, and dump the air from the front at your 60' to equalize it through the four bags. Or just dump the front.

...It would help alot, In theory.

LOL you would be set up like the old school gassers.

But thank God we have IRS with Air Bags. In the Old days drag racers would give there left nut for the way we launch stock.

The shot with the stock wheels, the only mods at that time were 3.73's and that's it. Stock Michelen rubber too.
Sit at shoulder heaight and take a shot of your car launching. All Marks stand up and squat.

I agree...

The stock air suspension and IRS are great for launching at the track, much better than other stock cars.

JP I noticed you appeared to be lowered.

Walt and I did about 25 experiments with launching these cars and found that we had the best results with the air suspension at FULL height to allow for maximim SLAM on the rear wheels.
We got our best 60ft times with this method.

i tried running my car at full height yesterday compared to lowered, and I didn;t notice a difference in my 60 foots :(

I didn't notice any difference in my times after sensor lowering? But back then I was running a lot slower. I have experimented turning the suspension off vs. leaving it on with no definitive results.

All that may be due to a nearly worn out suspension. That should start to change shortly with bushings, struts, shocks, braces, etc. Then I hope to install a control kit to experiment with the air suspension at the track. Maybe then we will see a difference? There's little doubt in my mind the air suspension can be used to your advantage at the track.
