Weight?

The only way to know for sure is to weigh it at some public scales.some truck stops have them. I have not weighed my mark I already know it's heavy 3700-3800 pounds.

Yes, they are heavy... So throw in some 4.10's, a nice high stall converter, and some sticky tires and tear up the streets. I only completed the sticky tires as of now, so I'm 1/3 the way there, but I still have a heavy, slow Mark off the line. Just think if you shaved off a couple hundred pounds too... Good stuff.
 
Door jam # on my 98 MARK VIII LSC says 4790. Sure seems heavy. Not near as fast as my 93 MarkVIII.
 
i weighed mine at atco , it was 4165 with me in it and a full tank , i weigh 280
 
Mine weighed 4,230 with me in it (305 lbs), 3/4 tank of gas and no spare or jack.
 
the thing with a lincoln is, if you start removing all sorts of the luxury stuff that makes a lincoln a lincoln (comfy seats, sound deadening, etc) then why did you buy a lincoln to being with? better to pickup a cheap t bird or a mustang to make a stripped bucket rather than ripping apart a lincoln. destroys the personality of this car in my opinion.
 
cause i was taking it to the strip, and needed the extra room for drag radials, tent, chairs, coolers, etc stuff.. a 4 day weekends worth of stuff.. LOL

no problem, i'd rather have run at full weight, but i wouldnt have gotten all my stuff up there w/o the extra room..
 
Yall prob know this already......there is a GVWR* inside the drivers door, along with the GAWR. Should tell you the weight of yours...wodner if different years weigh different, per the sticker?

Neither my 94or 96 manual list weight in....but the 1996 Lincoln MarkVIII dealership 8x14" 27 page (with 3tri fold pages spanning almost 2'in width) portfolio lists curb weight is 3,768 in the specifications list. (along w/length wwidth, wheelbase, height,fuel and luggage capacity).

It also lists compression ratio 9.8:1 HP at rpm (SAE net) 280 @5500and Torque @ rpm (lbs-ft, SAEnet) 285@4500 and a bunch of other juicy details!

but like I said yall probably know all this ;)
