Ok I can set my watch to my fuel mileage usage. For atleast the last year when I fill up at it comes in at 399 miles to empty. Last week I filled up to 418 Miles to empty. I dint think anything about it and it seemed to run normal. today I filled up and it came up 449 miles to empty. Normally I wouldnt complain about getting better fuel milage but whats the deal. Is a sensor gone bad? I have to clean / replace my IAC motor and some other maintenence, before I start the swap. but is this normal?

DTE...Distance To Empty is simply a feature of the Average Miles/Gallon multiplied by the fuel capacity. I would wager that your average mpg has increased recently. That may be due to the fact you are driving less agressively because of the higher gas prices or doing more highway/city driving. Of course there are other factors that also affect fuel economy.

I would agree. I just went on a long road trip, and when I filled up the other day, it read "541 till empty". The computer takes into account the last 500 miles when computing.
