LVC Ninja Always Gets Interweb hooked up

LMAO. Yup, I'm here! Yay! :)

But, I nearly wasn't here... :(

Very heavy rain on I 95 from Georgia, all the way up.

Of course... Wipers... Packed up working half way here! Now, they only work on highest speed. All other settings they just 'judder' then stop mid way. Just got shop manuals, so will investigate.

An SUV... Lost control on opposite side of highway, swerved across the central grass and into my lane! Had to take evasive action. A piece of plastic from the crashing SUV hit my driver's mirror and now the auto dim is ruined. (mirror has turned bright yellow... It's F%#@ed. Guess I'll remove the outer glass.

Got to house... Garage was unlocked, security was disabled, all electrics acting up. (turned on cooker, TV came on etc.) - Turned out the underground ground cable to the main dist. box had broke... So, had to get that dug up and replaced.

Aside from all that, all is well. Just gotta unpack etc. And yup, it's cold, wet, windy and miserable.

Looking forward to my 'present' chicken! Lol.

Darn Murphy's Law! Figures, i move 650 miles from the Mark parts guru and i end up needing parts! Lol.

lol turn around and drive back, i'll be there today.
glad you made it, that band of rain sucked!!

Moving sucks, I just got through doing it myself. Scheduled the cable guy to come the day we moved, we got there and started unpacking, then he showed up. Got my internet hooked up before we got everything unloaded. I couldn't be without internet, it's so cavemanish!

At least you're in one piece, the car can be fixed!

True, 96. At least it was just a mirror. Yeah, moving does suck. Still, this is it now - for good. Now i can start hoarding 'junk' without consequences! :shifty:

I'm wondering if i can just put some mild tint on my mirrors - That's how they were on my BMW and that worked out ok.

Garage is full of moving junk at the moment. Once it's cleared, will pull the car in and check out that dang wiper mechanism. Why do things fail at the worst possible times? That Murphy... Needs a kick in the nuts!

good to hear you made it up there with only minor injuries. good luck with the unpacking, In mother Russia broken dishes mean good luck!

Sounds about right, KK. Still, gives me a chance to use my (new to me) Ford shop manuals, which came today! :)

Cheers V-Tally! Broken dishes for good luck eh? Reminds me of the saying: ''Break a leg'' Lol.

Are there any aligators in North Carolina.:D

Lol, I'd certainly hope not!

Nothing much exciting here, yet...

glad you made it, id rather have rain than what we got today, yes pepps 4" of snow, 12 cars in the ditch and 1 rollover this morning and 5 in the ditch on the way home tonight. not to mention this mornings drive took 2.5 hours. but at least tonight i got a good laugh as a dodge tried to pull some car out using what looked like a bungee cord :D

Wow. Sounds like some craziness. Why do people drive like normal when conditions are bad? Just asking for trouble. Like with my trip, the rain was ridiculous! I could barely see more than 50 Ft in front of me at times... And yet, idiots are flying past me in SUV's and trucks doing close to 100!!! We passed multiple accidents too! People just don't 'get it'

I had one of those bungee style tow ropes - worked ok but I wouldn't have trusted it with a heavy load etc.

Hey chicken: Those Ford workshop manuals are awesome!!! Felt like I'd been 'left out in the dark' until now. I am truly impressed. Time to go read...

Anyone want a Chilton? LMAO. (I've been trying to 'off load it' for the past year - nobody wants it!)

Hey send that snow this way, all we got was a dusting of snow this morning. :D

because 93 people are dumb...........everyone forgets how to drive in snow till around march then they get the hang of it
and welcome to the light!!! theres a reason i laugh when someone says they got a chiltons

because 93 people are dumb......

LMAO. You missed a comma and threw me off on a tangent.

I was like:''Huh? 93 people are dumb?'' Lol.

True though, people are dumb. Maybe the driver education system isn't tough / thorough enough here, also.

yup 93 people are stupid lolol
drivers ed? whats that? out here they dont teach anything, i need to take a vid of a stop sign intersection out here, 2 oncoming cars, both going straight, CANNOT cross in the intersection, they ALL go one at a time and if you try and go at the same time as them they jam on the brakes and freak out like your trying to kill them

Lol, that's crazy. Hmm... You would think that local government would / could adopt driver's ed into the curriculum. I had over 40 Hrs training before i got behind the wheel (legally) In England, the education is pretty comprehensive and strict - heard they are gonna make it longer too - was talk of a minimum 30 hrs education. Thats big $$$ these days. Still, whatever it takes for safer driving.

Stay safe!

oh no we have drivers ed, just i dunno what they teach in it anymore, cuz nobody can drive

I don't know either - and i have a new(ish) US license! Lol. Did a quick multiple choice test and 20 mins later - brand new shiny card! (still couldn't drive good on US roads - those 4 way stops sent me crazy! - Lol)
