Weld gen2 driveshaft

See any reasons why this wouldn't work? Obviously I would have it balanced afterward. Has anyone tried this before?

Because of the double tubing I would skip that and retube the entire shaft if it was my choice.

you could weld it but there is a huge rubber sleeve inside it that would burn inside the tube, welding with rubber in the way wouldnt make for an easy or clean weld!
