I'm part of some other forums, turboford.org and www.rangerpowersports.com, thousands of posts in each over the years. Feels really weird being a noob here....

Well I just bought an 02 LSE, v8, Silver on grey interior, you guys know the rest of the details. It's stock has 30,000 miles, picked it up for 16,999 at the local dealer. 1 owner, no accidents, southern car, runs perfect, new tires.

My old ride,
1998 Ford Ranger Turbocharged
Lowered 5" front 7" rear, 18" boyd coddigtons in the front with 20" boyds in the back. Drilled slotted rotors.
Motor was 87 turbocoupe block, bored 30 over, wiseco pistons, crower rods, new crank, windage tray and studs. Head was esslinger, big valves, double springs, BIG cam, LOTS of porting, titanium everything. Ported intakes, header, holset HY35 turbo, powerstroke intercooler, water injection, 3" borla exhaust, microtech standalone, jacobs ignition, LC1 Wideband, tial wastegate, tial bov, ran about 28 lbs of boost on pump gas, never got on the dyno, easily over 420 to the wheels, the list is endless.... We shaved the bed, put on an edge front bumper, billet grille, and had the truck painted an 01 bmw blue. and put 00 taillights on it, clear corners, HID's, etc. etc. etc.

Trans was Mustang V8 T5, spec 3 clutch, aluminum driveshaft, explorer rearend, 31 spline axles, 3.73 gears, limited slip, and rear discs. All autometer gauges, big system, cobra seats, and some tweeded interior parts....

It ended in heartbreak about two weeks ago

I'll post up some new pics of my new whip (the lse) tomorrow. It's getting tinted. I just hope this place is as great as some of the past places I've been too. I love going to meets, always down to party.

WELCOME!!! ive never been a ranger fan, but thats one of the tightest ones ive seen. so i take it u have some plans for your new lse. check out lskoncepts.com for all the parts.

The oil return line on the turbo split, sprayed oil everywhere while I was driving (I didnt know it) shorted out the alternator ((sits RIGHT below the turbo)), started to burn, than hit the fuel return line and lit everything on fire, the oil that sprayed everywhere just fueled the fire. There was no putting it out, it burned to the ground

sorry to see the ranger all crispy, and to hear the lady is gone(but your young and no need to be in lock down yet).

i am familiar with that 2.3l engine (owned an 88 turbo coupe) and those engines can get real hot.

Sick a$$ truck I had a s-10 before my LS I live in Winter Park (Near ORlando) I am sorry to hear about your lose man....what kinda number did that beast make.....welcome aboard and let us know if you need anything the group of guys on here are great and tons of knoweldge can be past around.....dont forget to post some pics.....
 
Sorry for the quality it's from my camera phone.... It looks much better in person, silver REALLY pops in the sun. Getting tint tomorrow, and have a handful of other plans, I have a tig here and aluminum piping (I used to do intercooler piping) gonna build a cold air intake myself, and have it all polished. Still planning on the exhaust, I wanna keep the cats, add an x-pipe no idea on mufflers, and than see if they shop can run stock tips. And just get rid of the mufflers at the outlets.... thinking a set of flowmaster 50 series, they're quieter than a 40. I want a powerful aggressive sound, but it's still a luxery car, I HATE magnaflow, I was also looking at some spintech mufflers, I had a set on an old car and I loved them. I just dont know, I want it deep and aggressive, but not very loud....

1" Springs are also on the agenda, I really like the stock wheels and plan to keep they, they have 4 new michelin pilots on them too. When I need new tires I think I'll keep these wheels. I think the car an inch lower will be just enough. These wheels match the car PERFECTLY too.... Audio/Video is my next upgrade, I like the stock stereo, sound quality is great, it's the alpine, and the steering wheel controls are very nice.... Gonna go mild, maybe a decent set of 10's, an optima battery and a decent amp. I dont need it loud, I was running 2400 rms in the ranger with two optimas and a cap. I'm done with loud, I never turned it up anyways. If you look at the pics of the truck you'll see the box, that was before the cap, the second battery, and the second amp. That was only a 1200 rms amp.
