Hi guys, used to post on here forever ago about my 1987 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham, but it has since broken beyond repair and has been sold. I'm now sporting a 1990 Lincoln Town Car base model, and I gotta say, it does ride a lot better than the Caddy did. I do have a couple of questions about it though.

1.) I get a mild hesitation at cruising speed, normally around 45mph. It's like a miss, but it's random when it wants to do it, and it's not that often. Typical 302 Ford MAF acting up?

2.) The back windows don't go up or down on their own. How hard is the motor replacement? I can hear the motors try, but nothing moves, so I assume the gears are stripped out.

3.) The passenger door doesn't lock with the power locks or the inside lever. Typical Ford thing. I can still lock it with the key, so it's only a minor problem, but how hard is it to get in there and rehook that linkage?

4.) The outside temp sensor displays a random number every time I start the car, which really seems to have no bearing on the outside temp what-so-ever. I assume the temp element/sensor has gone bad. Where is it located on the car?

5.) I only appear to have a 16 gallon gas tank. Is that normal for a '90? I ran it until the display said, "E gallons left," and I was only able to squeeze 15.8 gallons in at the pump.

1) lol

2) The motor doesn't need to be replaced, some nylon bushings do. It's hard and you need small arms.

3)lol

4) I think on your car it's located on the passenger side mirror

5) Gas tanks on these are only 16 gallons, like you said. i think.

I say lol because you seem to hate ford but at the same time are admitting it does things better than gm
