We guys it happened I go tin a car accident!!! many of you were telling me it was gonna happen
OK here is the long story......
I was following my subject and was coming up to an intersection that has
1) a left turn lane
2) a left turn and a straight
3) A right turn
I was in the 2 lane and a red chevy s-10 was in the 1st lane I stopped at the traffic light and was about 7-8 car back the light turned green and we started to go
A purple contour LXi *the big one* was in lane number 3 he started coming into my lane and was no stopping.....I was honking and honking
So I made sure the 1st lane was clear (no one coming behind me) and I started to get into that lane and a soon as my front wheel crossed the line the guy in the truck slammed on his brakes for NO REASON!!!! I hit the corner of his bumper at about 5 miles per hour...... The contour speed off and turnded right and I could not get a plate!!!!
The guy got on his cell phone right away and was not getting out of the truck....I look and his whole bupmer was pushed in and I had the little chrome stripp was scratched ...... I was waiting for him to get out and he finally did about 4 mins after.....WTF.... I said look I dont know why you stopped and all he said was OUCH MY NECK I just called 911 my neck hurts and Im serious I can move it and got back in his truck....2 mins later the FD shows up and ask me whats up and if Im ok ....they were looking at my car and could not figure out whats going on.... the guy was still on the phone and they had to pull it out of his hands.....He said I cant get out and I cant move.... so they had to put a c- collar on him and pull him out with a backboard..... and when they finally got him loaded up and started checking him over in the back of the rescue he said he didnt wanna go to the hospital ....Buy this time the second FF truck arrived and realize this was some fishy stuff....they took him to the hosp. and the FD guys were waiting with me for the State tropper to show up and they knew me from working my clinicals with them for my EMT class.......The state tropper arrived and the FD guys showed her my car his truck and said Its BS....She and I met about 3 months ago when I was working a case in Winter Park she was working there but went back to the state troopers.....She laughed and told me to sit tight..... So she told me state law was I had to get a ticket but that I need to go to court and fight it because she knew this was crap.....
So I was free to go and she told me that she liked my car..... DIDNT SAY :q:q:q:q ABOUT THE WINDSHIELD!!!! (SO I guess she either didnt notice or didnt care) and she told the FD guys dont worry he's a PI and works insurance fraud cases and they laughed all the way back to the truck....
SO here is the damage
I pulled that peice of chrome off but I think I did it wrong is there bolts or clips in the back of the bumper....I broke about 3-4 of the clips and there are some that just have a whole through them..... Its gonna cost me 55 or so for the new chrome piece ....anyone know who this goes in ? does it just pop in or is there clips that run threw them.... Please let me know if anyone can help......
O by the way ....Im fine and havent heard anything from him yet....this happened tuesday...
