so hows it lookin ghost? when are we getting these clear sidemarker lenses?

He told me that, when he returns from vacation he should have some hopefully on his doorstep. I have also been buggin him for them also!! Are you going clear your turn signal out in the headlights? I am personally going to buy his angel eye kit and have the clear corner in them already.

yeah, i've already got the clear corner headlights, but you cant tell in my pictures, cuz in IL, legally, the turn signal or the bulb has to be orange. (ghey) so the lenses are clear, but the bulb is orange.

i still have a set of spare headlights, so eventually i'll send out my cleared out headlights to him to have him put in the angel eyes.

cant wait to get the clear side markers!!! :) they are pricey, but worth it. and that will give me a reason to finally change the bulbs in them. :monkey:

Nice I cant wait to clear my front lights out. I just bought the silverstar 3157 that look blue until u turn them on and they are the legal amber color. Got them at autozone for like 23 bucks. check those out lucky!

Right before I left for vacation I was contacted by the manufacturer of the clear lenses. They said they were molding them and should have the first batch to me by the end of June. This is good news. At least I'll have a product after 6 months! They are suppose to send me some photos before they are shipped and I'll post them here once they I get them.

Scott, let me know how your angel eye headlights turn out, because i wanna get a pair... and are you going to have the clear non sport lenses too Ken?

A non-sport clear lens will be available.

Those side markers look gooood, but why are they so expensive? $90 for two plastic pieces? I must be missing something.
 
What you are missing, is that LSK has to cover his cost which constit of havin a mold made(and or he buys the old mold off of FLM), test runs, and run in short lots, which inturn cost A LOT of money. I run and own a machine shop and used to make molds until the Japs/Chinese stole that business from me! HAHA

i wish the clear lenses came with a light housing so you didnt have to pry the amber one off the housing and scrape the glue off and then reglue the clears on... seems like a pain to me, but wut do i kno, i havnt done it... YET!

I think that it is one of the easiest things you can do. That's just me. I bought an extra pair of head lights off of e-bay to clear and pair the originals off of my car, then switch them. No down time.

Yeah, I'm relaxing too much! While I'm sipping on a beer or two I like to check email and see what everyone is talking about on LvC. I gotta keep up with all the cool cats here!

Well, they may not be that much after all is said and done but it all depends on how many pieces the injection company can get out of one mold. The molds aren't cheap and it has to be included in the price of the lenses. The cost has to be amortized into quantity of lenses made. It may be less and it may be more. This is a low volume injection molding process so the initial cost may be higher with very low minimal up front costs.

Must be nice, been at work since 630am and its 1130pm as we speak damn HOT jobs kill me but someone has to do it, plus the money is good! Have fun drinking those cold ones and drink one for me.

They will be available with the next batch according to GrayGhost. I've been waiting for these for a while. These and the wood piece for the aftermarket radio kit.

Gray, any updates about the wood piece?

I haven't heard back from my vendor for the dash kits. I'll call him on Monday and see where it's at.
