the week end I was dog sitting for my best friend , 2 dogs one a 9 year old rott and a 2 year old lab,

the rott was one of my puppys (I owned the mom he owned the dad)

I had to go each moring and feed them both and give the rott his seizure meds,
then come back at nite to feed them dry food.
saturday was great ..... sunday my and my son who is 14 when over , He went to open the pen (rember I'm on chuches so I can't carry anything)

my son call me to the backyard and thiers shadow (rott) laying next to the fence having a seizure or a stroke.

thier was lots of dog slober around his head and his tongue was hanging out and he was breathing heavly.

I called my friend but he was driving in back and didn't get the call at first.
so I called my wife who is Med student and she came over (she was at home dog sitting a pug)
by now my friend calls and tells me to wet him down with a hose cuz it hot out) and I did so .

later my and the wife get a turkey baster and mix his meds in some milk and I shoot it in to his mouth,

at around 11am he died
my son helped when shadow was born thank god he was in the house when he died ..... I made my wife and him leave,
As I had to sit thier and wait for my friend to tell him the news.
when he called I couldn't hide how upset I was.
then the sadness started over once they came home.

me and my friend took away in his truck to the dog pound .

Man, I know that feeling all too well. We lost our Rott in January to pancrititus (sp) and liver failure. She was the sweetest and best dog i have ever owned.

My Sasha will meet Shadow at the bridge and show him around.

my sister has 2 rotts, and both have siezure problems. IS this a genetic thing or no?

I'm sorry to hear about your problem. I've lost long time pets of my own ,and know how much it sucks.
